Family - The Core Component of all Societies
The basic family structure is under intense attack today. The integrity of marriage has been undermined at all levels. It is estimated that 50% of all marriages in the US eventually end in divorce. Alternatively, more and more men and women choose to live together, dispensing with marriage entirely. Of course, some homosexuals have made a complete mockery of the marriage bond, insisting that it should not be limited to a man and a woman. Then too, there are the growing numbers of unwed, first time, mothers.
What type of environment is all of this creating for our children? Marriage no longer means commitment. Marriage no longer means a man and woman. In fact, marriage is merely optional. What type of values can a single, 12 year old mother instill into her newborn? Should a child really have to explain to his classmates why he has two fathers or perhaps two mothers? While some situations are unavoidable and quite tragic, people often choose a path that is only going to bring them heartaches in the long run. We need to reinforce "traditional values" into our children. This is the only way we can counteract the confusion and immorality that are so prevalent today.

Genesis 2:24 -A man should leave father and mother, sticking to his wife.
Malachi 2:13-16 -God hates a divorcing, especially on frivolous grounds.
Matthew 19:4-6 -Marriage is meant to be a lifelong bond between a woman and man.
